Local churches hold breakfast to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

PICKENS — Area churches came together Monday to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Griffin Ebenezer Baptist Church in Pickens hosted the Community Prayer Breakfast Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday morning.

Pickens Presbyterian Church Elder Bill Ranson served as emcee. He said the community prayer breakfast has been held for 19 years, and he’s been able to attend all but one of them.
