Man killed in Clemson Wreck
CLEMSON — A single-vehicle wreck Saturday evening near Clemson claimed a passenger’s life and sent two other men to the hospital.
Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley said Aaron Anthony Eskew, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene from blunt force trauma.
The driver of the vehicle, Raymond Hanks, 28, was listed in critical condition at Greenville Memorial Hospital Monday. Another passenger was transported to another hospital, but his condition was not known.
The accident happened around 7 p.m. on West Queen Street near Clemson on Saturday, according to Kelley.
Hanks, of Anderson, was headed east when his Kia Sorento went off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
Eskew, of 222 Whiten Road in Anderson, was wearing a seat belt, Kelley said.
The wreck is being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol, according to Kelley.
