Miscues doom Daniel against Green Wave

EASLEY — The Daniel Lions entered Friday’s game against county rival Easley riding the high of their season-opening victory over Berkeley and former Lions coach Randy Robinson.
Taking on the Green Wave, who were also 1-0 after defeating Pickens in Week 0, presented the Lions with a chance to stake their claim to being the top team in the county with a victory.
However, the Lions were setback by a number of miscues and a stout Easley defense in a 31-12 loss that dropped the Lions to 1-1 on the season.
The turnover battle is the most crucial struggle in the game of football. The team that wins the turnover battle often wins the game, and that proved to be the case Friday night as the Lions lost the turnover battle in a big way.
