Brooklyn Garrett is the new 2018 Miss Upstate and will be  competing in June at the Miss South Carolina scholarship competition in Columbia. Brooklyn is currently a 22-year-old senior at Clemson University and will graduate in May with a bachelor’s degree in women’s leadership and philosophy, with a law emphasis. Brooklyn was also the 2017 Miss Clemson University. The Miss S.C. organization raised more than $168,000 last year for the four Children’s Miracle Network hospitals in the state.
