Official: County’s COVID-19 numbers trending downward

PICKENS — Pickens County administrator Ken Roper has been talking about the county’s COVID-19 numbers for months now.
On Friday, he had some good news to share in a Facebook Live update video.
“The slope (of cases), the rise over the run, has started to level off a little bit,” Roper said. “That’s good. It tells us that we’re not getting cases as quickly as we were a couple of months back.”
The county’s number of cases that DHEC considered active has also started to decline, he said.
