County breaks ground on new facility

PICKENS — Officials hope the new Pickens County jail will improve not only the community, but the lives of the offenders the jail houses.

A large crowd gathered on South Catherine Street in Pickens Friday afternoon for the groundbreaking ceremony for the new jail.
