Oyster roast planned to benefit Guardian ad Litem program
EASLEY — Community sponsors and supporters will come together Saturday for the Friends of Pickens County Guardian ad Litem’s first-ever Clusters for Kids oyster roast and silent auction.
The event is planned for 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Arran Farm, at 820 Lenhardt Road in Easley.
Ticket prices are $50 individually and $90 per couple, with a limited number of tickets available at the door for $75 each, and may be purchased online at www.friendspcgal.org or at several local businesses in Easley, Liberty, Pickens and Clemson.
The night includes an oyster roast, Southern-style buffet, beer, wine, music, cornhole competitions and more, but the highlight of the evening will be a silent auction, with more than 100 items to bid on, including rounds of golf at some of the Upstate’s best courses, sports memorabilia from the state’s finest athletes, jewelry, condo rental and much more.
“We have gotten so much support from the communities throughout Pickens County, we just want to make sure everyone knows about this event that benefits the neglected and abused children of Pickens County,” Pickens County Guardian ad Litem chair Tammy Clark said.
Proceeds for the evening will go to Friends of Pickens County Guardian ad Litem program, which has been providing financial assistance to neglected and abused children since 2002.
In addition to the Oyster Roast, Corky’s Wine Room will be hosting an afterparty, with proceeds going to support the program as well. The block party will be held at 1350 Crestview Road in Easley from 9 p.m. until midnight and will include live music and shagging.
