New exploitation charges filed against Easley man

EASLEY — An Easley man already in custody now faces new charges of child abuse.
South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the new charges against 35-year-old Carl Lee Robert Price on Thursday.
Price was arrested on 10 charges connected to the sexual exploitation of a minor, Wilson said in a release. He was already in custody on similar charges from 2022 when he was charged with the new counts on March 1, Wilson said.

Central honors soldier, 22, after tragic death
CENTRAL — The town of Central showed up to honor and bid farewell to 22-year-old U.S. Army National Guard Spc. Jacob Eric Bright on Feb. 28.

EASLEY — A group of residents in the Sheriff Mill Road area are hoping to convince Easley City Council members to vote down a proposed annexation.

PICKENS — A popular fish fry fundraiser that benefits a historic church is returning at least one more time.

EHS looking for new boys’ hoops coach

EASLEY — Five years after bringing in former Tusculum College coach Mike Jones to lead the Easley High School boys’ basketball team, the Green Wave are once again on the search for a new coach, according to a job listing posted by the School District of Pickens County on Feb. 28.
