Ignoring God does not lessen the need for Him
Within the Christian faith, we are taught that every person will someday stand before God and have a discussion about how they lived. A few will argue, give excuses, try to justify and attempt to present their case before the infinite judge and authority of all things.

To say our first-ever golf tournament, held on Oct. 15, had a positive outcome is an understatement! We could not have hand-picked better weather — blue skies and sunshine for days! Six Mile Baptist to host annual Feast-0-Plenty
SIX MILE — Six Mile Baptist Church will host the 15th annual “Feast-o-Plenty” from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19.
Last year, approximately 200 people joined the church for the dinner, and this year organizers are hoping to share with even more.
The meal will be served at the Roper Building, located at 150 N. Main St. in Six Mile. This event is a free Thanksgiving meal for anyone living

• Fairview schedules building fundraiser
Fairview Baptist Church will be holding a building fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 12, from 8 a.m.-2 p.m., rain or shine. There will be a hot dog, bake and yard sale at the church, located at 1106 Robinson Bridge Road in Liberty. Donations are welcome, with all proceeds donated to the church repair fund.

SIX MILE — Annie Laverne Stancil McGaha, 83, passed away on Friday, Oct. 21, 2022 at her home.
Laverne was born on Sept. 24, 1939, to the late Leo and Essie Durham Stancil. She was a fan of the Atlanta Braves and Clemson Tigers. Laverne’s faith was very important to her, and she attended Crowe Creek Church of God. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
