According to defensive end Jahiem Lawson, the Daniel coaching staff stressed at halftime that the Lions needed to relax.

CLEMSON — The college football landscape is almost unrecognizable from when the Clemson football team last took the field.
Student-athletes can now profit from their name, image and likeness, Texas and Oklahoma are joining the SEC, and most recently, the ACC, Big Ten and Pac-12 have formed an alliance with ambiguous goals and consequences.
The Tigers have undergone plenty of changes, too. When Clemson’s 2020 season ended in disappointing fashion on New Year’s Day — losing 49-28 to Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl — two all-time greats were holding down the backfield.
Quarterback Trevor Lawrence and running back Travis Etienne are now both in theYou must be logged in to view this content.

County parents speak out on virus concerns
EASLEY — On the day students returned to the classroom after a week of virtual learning due to the rapid spread of COVID-19 in the first nine days of the school year, Monday night’s Pickens County School Board meeting was a hotbed of virus commentary.
A stream of parents appeared before the board during more than an hour of public comment, with concerns ranging from the physical health and safety of their children if they attend in-person classes to the emotional and social health of their children if they don’t.
