Pearman’s hot night leads Daniel to huge win to open playoffs

CENTRAL — Trent Pearman has been among the top high school football players in the state in recent weeks, but in Friday night’s 62-30 first-round playoff win against Chester, the Daniel junior quarterback engineered his best performance yet.
Pearman finished 21-of-26 passing for 415 yards and six touchdowns as he picked apart the Cyclones’ secondary with ease in the romp at Singleton Field.
“I thought he did a great job tonight,” Daniel head coach Jeff Fruster said. “He showed so much poise in the pocket, and nothing really rattled him. He took his shots where he could and really led this offense.”
