PICKENS — After winning the Hillcrest Tournament on Sept. 9, the Pickens High School volleyball team opened the regular season play by defeating Belton- Honea Path on Sept. 13.

The varsity team defeated BHP 25-10, 25-21, 25-19, and the JV squad won 25-21, 25-10.

The Lady Flame varsity and JV opened Region I-4A play against Wren on Sept. 18, and both teams came away with a victory. The varsity defeated Wren 25-19, 25-19, 25-4. The JV Lady Flame
