Pickens comeback falls short against Southside

PICKENS — In the midst of a five-game losing skid, the Pickens High School boys’ basketball team hosted Southside on Wednesday night hoping to get back on the right track before the Christmas holiday.
Instead, the Tigers’ press forced the Blue Flame into way too many early turnovers leading to a 17-2 first quarter run that Pickens was just never able to overcome despite a late comeback attempt in a 61-53 loss.
