Pickens County Has Talent finals Saturday

PICKENS — The finals of Pickens County Has Talent, a county-wide talent show that showcases the best of the best within Pickens County, are scheduled for this Saturday night, Feb. 25, at Pickens High School.
The top acts from each area of the county will perform at the show, with all proceeds going to the School District of Pickens County. Thanks to a sponsorship from Ingles, the show will be filmed in its entirety to air on Charter TV-10 on Saturday nights at 7 p.m. beginning March 10.
Tickets for the final show are only $10, and organizers hope to sell out all 850 seats. The show will feature guest performances from R.U.S.H., Taylor Stewart, Chris Haile, Jeromy Arnett, and a Chinese Martial Arts group from Clemson, as well as prizes to be given to audience members, including an iPad courtesy of Charter.
The audience will select the top five acts, with first place receiving $500 and a guitar autographed by country music star Miranda Lambert. Second place will receive $350, while third will get $150. Fourth and fifth place will each be awarded trophies.
At last Saturday’s Easley-area finals, Vannahkate, Ella Hennessee, Hunter Holliday, the Morning Glories and Don Nivens were selected to advance to the finals this weekend. Also competing in this Saturday’s finals will be Grant Hitt, RJ Little, Danielle Yother, Abbie Bolick & Callie Durham, Gail Higdon, Dylan Looper, Trivocality, Redwire, Vataydra Ferguson, Laura Nelson, Ruby Faith Dennis and Gracie Dellinger.
