Police: Man committed sex acts with child
PICKENS — An Easley man is being held without bond at the Pickens County Detention Center after his arrest on a pair of charges of criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
According to a news release from the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, Johnny Michael Miller Jr., 43, was arrested last Thursday and charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
Sheriff’s office chief deputy Creed Hashe said authorities were notified last week by a family member of the victim about suspicious activity involving Miller.
According to arrest warrants, police believe Miller touched the victim, a girl under the age of 11, inappropriately and made her touch him inappropriately.
The incidents allegedly occurred between April 1 and May 27 in a home in which Miller lived with the victim and her family, arrest warrants said.
