In light of Small Business Month, Pickens Revitalization Association is committed to supporting our local businesses. Alongside the Gift of Pickens program, PRA has developed the Shop Local. Shop Historic Pickens. campaign to feature businesses here in Pickens and the products and services offered.

Brock’s Department Store is a true Pickens landmark, having been in business for more than 55 years. Located at 219 E. Main Street, Brock’s reflects the heritage of Pickens through the countless memorabilia on display to the high ceilings, wooden floors and welcoming atmosphere. Stop in today to see the great selection and have a chat with owner Glenn Brock. Brock’s is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Closed Wednesday).

Michael’s Restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Pickens at 301 E. Main Street. In the same location for more than 20 years, Michael’s is ready to make your dining experience relaxing and enjoyable. Michael’s began as a small sandwich shop and has grown into a thriving business with a full and varied menu. Michael’s was purchased in 2002 by Amy and Mark Barrett and they have continued the tradition that Hank started. Amy runs the restaurant and has added many new items to the menu. With the lovely decor and relaxing atmosphere, Michael’s has become one of the most talked about places in town! Michael’s offers private parties, take home casseroles and any and all kinds of catering. Stop in, call (864) 878-6462 or visit their website www.michaelsrestaurant.biz today!

Antiques and Uniques began as a photography business and evolved into a “retail store and more” as their photo customers kept asking to buy the props. Now they search out well made vintage items that look great in photo sets but will also look great in your home. Some of the items are hand made by local artists; some are recycled and repurposed relics. Owners Mike and Lori Gould do their best to inspire and create a very unique shopping experience and to build relationships with their customers. If you have something specific in mind and can›t find it elsewhere or in the store, they may be able to find it for you or have it made. So whether you›re looking for a photographer to create a unique and beautiful image for you, searching for someone to build a piece of custom log furniture, or just looking for an extraordinary gift idea, please come and see them at 305 E. Main Street in beautiful and historic downtown Pickens. Antiques and Uniques is open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
