PICKENS — A local church will host a celebration for its pastor, who is set to retire this weekend after 65 years of ministry.

Ray Allen will lead his final service at Praters Creek Baptist Church at 11 a.m. on Sunday, and the church will host a celebration in his honor at 4 p.m.

Allen has pastored several churches throughout the Upstate over his more than six decades in the ministry.
