Pumpkin Festival planned Saturday

PUMPKINTOWN — When it comes to Pumpkintown’s annual Pumpkin Festival, the adage “If you build it, they will come” proves true.

“Last year, they estimated we had around 50,000 people show up,” festival chairman Buddy Cox said. “That sort of blew us out of our socks.”

This year’s festival is slated for this Saturday, Oct. 13, in and around the Oolenoy Community Building.
