Something Special celebrates 30 years in downtown Easley
EASLEY — Something Special, located at 231 W. Main Street in Easley, is celebrating 30 years of excellent service to Upstate shoppers.
Owner Tammy Seay started working with crafts when she was only 12 years old. She began with pottery and evolved to offer the area’s most unique and sought-after decorative pieces to complement any home or office space.
When asked if you she ever imagined 30 years in business Seay said, “No, I never really thought about that, but I am elated that the store is still going strong and growing.”
Seay said the secret to her success is staying current on new trends and new items that folks are seeking and loving what you do.
“We love being in downtown Easley and feel blessed to have been here long enough to see the town grow,” she said. “So many of our customers are now our friends, and we have watched them and their families grow. We offer customer service that so many major retail stores do not.”
Something Special carries beautiful seasonal items for spring, Easter, summer, fall and Christmas. The store is unbelievable at Christmas time with decorated trees that are a sight to see. It also specializes in one-of-a-kind floral arrangements and wreaths.
The store has expanded many times and offers fashionable boutique clothing items and jewelry. Seay and her daughter, Alina Wright, attend the Atlanta shopping mart to keep up with the latest hot items for their customers. Lamps, clocks and decorative wall art are all over the store. Something Special is a decorator’s dream, with a wide assortment of home accessories.
A 20 percent storewide discount will continue through March 28. The company will celebrate its 30th anniversary in the near future after the coronavirus outbreak slows and is offering curbside delivery at the store if you know what you want.
