I might regret this by the time I’m done, but I’m going to dust off my old education reporter’s hat and take a dive into the test results that came out last week from the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP).

Why would I want to undertake such a torturous, boring-sounding endeavor?

Because I think it’s important. I’ll try to not make it boring.
