Testimony: Easley man said destiny to harm president
GREENVILLE — An Easley man arrested on explosives charges last week in connection with a federal investigation said he was destined to kill or harm the president, according to a law enforcement official’s testimony.
Anderson County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Rob Gebing testified in federal court last week that 58-year-old David Scott Halsey told informants of his “destiny to kill or harm the president.” It was unclear which president Halsey was referring to, according to officials.
Halsey was arrested Jan. 10 and charged with possessing,
