SIX MILE — Margaret Thompson will speak to the public at the next Conservatives of the Upstate meeting at 6:30 p.m. March 15 at the Six  Mile Community Building, located at 106 S. Main St. in Six Mile.

Thompson is running for Pickens County Council District 1. She has a criminal justice degree from Tri-County Technical College and worked for the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office for 27 years, as well as serving on the Clemson City Council from 2004-2008.

She recently closed down one of her businesses, Upstate Process Service, after 20 years. She
