Weird, wacky weather
The talk around town and beyond is that the weather we have experienced in the past couple of weeks is not normal. I served on the state’s Drought Response Committee for more than 20 years, and based on my long experience, I can tell you — they are right. This is not normal.
Just think about the last 10 days. On top of already saturated soils (5.8 inches of rain in January), we have had more than a month’s worth of rain in 24 hours, resulting in epic flooding all across the region.
